Here is a project I was working on before going to the University, I thought some comic work would be helpful in my portfolio. Since I have none, it was enjoyable to do, but not easy...I did change the current style of comic work to suit my style. Not to the point though were it was so completely different, but enough that it was unique. I do have 2 other complete penciled and inked comic pages that go along with this page. Not sure if I should even attempt to color the others. If anyone is interested in seeing the other 2 pages colored, message me until then.

Napo is me...

I was bored in Barnes n Noble and was able to draw out some demons that I have been keeping in me. Would have kept drawing more, but I ran out on my page. So I'm planning in painting some these demons that won't go away on wooden panals. I finally got my shippment of acrylics so now its time to get busy!

Igor Stravinsky

Igor was so much fun to draw, he has such an interesting face as well as a very interesting life. He was a Internationaly known Russian composer, pianist, and conductor, the man was truely inspirational. Perhaps one of my favorite paintings from this Summer, it was definitely out of my comfort zone. I guess thats why, it was so exciting in doing this one!

Jose Marti the Cuban!!!

Well, being in Miami you are bond to draw, paint or do something cuban so I picked good "ole' Jose Marti" a famous Cuban writer and poet.

The Great Joaquin Phoenix ....at his crazy times, since turned rap artist.


Done in traditional ink and later on put into photoshop, its my first in mixing both traditional and digital. I did it in a day's worth.

Another attempt to do an ink drawing, since most of my colleagues say I'm horrible at it, even though this is my second try. I really think I worked out a better composition and a more cohesive line work. But I rather not mention any names...John Suarez....oops.

The piece is "Hathor" an Egyptian Goddess of a mother type figure as well as a protector of women.

Finally a New Year, I hope to redeem myself with the past couple of works, with this "Ink Assignment" from Mr.Brandes.

Its a Self- Portrait that needs to deal with something about food. So I hope its easy to read...cause the last time I did an ink piece was in sophomore year and it was a challenge. I wasn't sure what technique to go for, but I know I wanted some graphic and decorative design element in it...
